Edit your content

Your DESIGN.md ships as a file inside the kit. The look is not pre-painted onto the pages; you apply the design system whenever you want with a normal prompt. Run it across the whole site, or apply just the part you want to a specific page:

Read DESIGN.md and DESIGN-DARK.md, then apply the whole design system across the site. Sync all the design tokens into app/styles/app.css and make every page use them. Don't change the content.

Because of how AI coding agents work, it may not land perfectly in one pass. That is normal. You review what changed, say what is still off, and prompt again until it looks the way you want. You stay in control the whole time. For the full walkthrough, see Use DESIGN.md.

The rest of this page is about the other half: the copy. The starting copy in the kit is generic on purpose, ready to be swapped for your real brand name, tagline, headline, services, and so on.

This all happens through your AI chat. No file editing required.

Step 1 — Replace the brand name and tagline

Tell your AI:

Replace "Your brand" everywhere in the site with my business name: [YOUR NAME]. Also update the tagline under the brand name in the footer to: [YOUR ONE-LINE DESCRIPTION].

The AI updates the Header, Footer, page titles, and any other place "Your brand" appears.

Step 2 — Replace the placeholder copy on each page

Go through the pages a visitor sees first and tell your AI what each one is about:

On the homepage, replace "Your headline goes here" with a real headline and subtitle for my business: [describe what you do, one sentence].

Then update the three feature cards to describe three real benefits I offer.

Then move to the rest:

Do the same for the About page (founders, mission), Services cards (the work you actually do), and Contact page (your email, location, anything you want).

Tips

  • Iterate, do not aim for perfect on the first pass. Skim the homepage, fix the most embarrassing placeholder, move on. Come back later.
  • One page at a time is fine. You do not have to send everything in one big prompt.
  • Show your AI a reference if you have one. Pasting a competitor's homepage URL or a description of the tone you want will land better than asking for "good copy".
  • Keep placeholder where you will revisit later. The Pricing tier numbers, the case-study client names, the blog post body — those can stay placeholder until the rest of the site is done.

When you are happy with the basic content, move on to Add and remove pages.
