Your stockists still order by spreadsheet. Here is what that costs.

The workbook that runs your business

Most independent labels sell to retailers the same way they did a decade ago: a spreadsheet of styles and prices, emailed out, filled in by hand, emailed back, then re-keyed into whatever system takes the order to the factory.

It works, until it doesn't. Every step is a place for a mistake, and every mistake costs you a margin point or a goodwill call.

Where the cost hides

  • **Re-keying.** An order typed once by the retailer and again by your team is
  • an order entered twice, with two chances to get a size or a surcharge wrong.
  • **Stale prices.** The moment you change a price, every copy of the workbook
  • already in a retailer's inbox is out of date.
  • **"Where is my gown?"** With no shared view of production, every status
  • update is a phone call or an email thread.

The fix is not a bigger spreadsheet

It's a portal your retailers sign into - on your domain, in your branding - where the catalogue, the prices and the production status are always the live version. That's what Labels.io does.
