Delivery & lead times
Define the lead-time bands, delivery days and surcharges the configurator offers at checkout.
You control which delivery dates your retailers can choose, so the portal only ever promises dates you can actually hit. Delivery rules live under Studio → Settings.
Lead-time bands
A band is a named delivery speed with a minimum and maximum lead time and a charge, for example:
| Band | Lead time | Charge |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 20–24 weeks | Included |
| Priority | 14 weeks | +£120 |
| Rush | 10 weeks | +£280 |
The retailer picks a band in the configurator; its charge is added once per order.
Delivery days & blackouts
Two rules keep the offered dates realistic:
- Delivery days — which weekdays you dispatch on (e.g. Wednesday–Friday). Only those days are offered.
- Blackouts — recurring annual closures (e.g. the Christmas period) that are excluded from the calendar.
Only achievable dates are shown
The configurator computes real calendar dates from the band's lead time, your delivery days and blackouts — and only shows dates you can meet. At submission the chosen date is validated again on the server.
How retailers see it
At checkout, each band shows its lead time and any surcharge, and expands to the specific dates available. Choosing a date is required before an order can be submitted.
