Notifications & messages
Who hears about what, and when — the in-app bell, status emails, order messages and amendment requests.
Labels.io keeps everyone in the loop automatically, so nobody has to report status or chase by email. There are three layers.
The bell
Studio users and retailers each have a notification bell in their header. It carries:
- Order progress — confirmed, cutting, in production, quality check, dispatched (for the stockist who placed the order)
- Messages — a new message or amendment request on an order (retailer messages alert every studio admin; studio replies alert the stockist)
Open the bell to see the feed and mark items read.
Emails
Alongside the in-app feed, the platform emails the right person at the right moment — all in your branding:
| Event | Who's emailed |
|---|---|
| Order submitted | The stockist (acknowledgement) and the studio's new-order alert address(es) — the studio copy carries the full spec and pricing |
| Order confirmed | The stockist, and the factory (price-masked production spec with a no-login confirm link) |
| Factory confirms receipt | The studio's notify address |
| Every stage change | The stockist, and the studio's notify address |
| Invoice sent | The stockist |
| At-risk orders (daily digest) | The studio's notify address |
Email recipients are set under Studio → Settings — see Portal settings. Any address left blank simply turns that email off; in-app notifications always work.
Order messages & amendments
Every order carries a message thread between the stockist and the studio, so conversations about a gown live with the order rather than scattered across email. The factory never sees the thread.
A retailer can also raise an amendment request — it flags the order in the studio queue until the studio acts on it (confirms, amends or replies), so a requested change can't slip through unseen.
